Automatic Tags is a feature in Microsoft Teams for Frontline to @mention colleagues in channels and group chats by job title, department and location. These tags, which are automatically generated and updated, help senders reaching the right audiences while reducing noise.

Automatic Tags is one of few targeting capabilities across Microsoft Teams, Teams Admin Center and Viva Connections that were designed to improve operational and corporate communications in frontline scenarios, which I led between July and December 2023.
